24-Month Workmanship Guarantee

Effective: April 2026

At Priority Plumbing, we stand behind every job we complete. All workmanship carried out by our team is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of completion --- giving you the confidence that your installation is built to last.

 

What Is Covered

The 24-month guarantee covers defects in workmanship --- that is, faults or failures that arise directly from the way in which the work was carried out by Priority Plumbing operatives. If something we fitted, connected, or installed fails because of how we did the job, we will come back and put it right at no cost to you.

 

Covered under the guarantee:

-   Faulty pipework connections, joints, or fittings installed by us

-   Leaks or failures arising from installation errors

-   Tiles, flooring, or fixtures fitted incorrectly by our team

-   Sealant or jointing applied incorrectly causing water ingress

-   Any defect in the standard of workmanship that falls below what a competent tradesperson would deliver

 

What Is Not Covered

The following are not covered by this guarantee:

-   Materials, fixtures, or fittings supplied by you or a third-party retailer (e.g. items purchased through B&Q or Wickes) --- these remain subject to the manufacturer\'s or retailer\'s own warranty

-   Fair wear and tear --- normal deterioration that occurs with regular use over time

-   Damage caused by third parties, accidents, flooding, subsidence, or any event outside our control after handover

-   Damage caused by modifications, extensions, or interference with the completed works by anyone other than Priority Plumbing

-   Issues arising from pre-existing defects in your property\'s structure, pipework, drainage, or services that were concealed or not identified at the time of works

-   Failure to carry out routine maintenance as described in the \'Your Maintenance Responsibilities\' section below

-   Gradual blockages arising from use (e.g. hair or debris in drains)

-   Any works carried out by a third party following our completion

 

Your Maintenance Responsibilities

To maintain the full benefit of this guarantee, you are responsible for carrying out routine maintenance on the completed works. Failure to do so may affect your ability to claim under this guarantee.

The following maintenance is required:

 

Silicone Sealant

Silicone sealant around baths, showers, basins, and wet areas is a maintenance item, not a permanent fixture. It is subject to wear, mould growth, and shrinkage over time. You should:

-   Inspect silicone sealant at least 4 times a year

-   Replace it promptly if you notice cracking, lifting, discolouration, or signs of mould that cannot be cleaned

-   Not allow water ingress behind or beneath silicone for extended periods

 

Drains, Traps, and Shower Heads

-   Clean shower heads and taps regularly to prevent limescale build-up

-   Clear hair and debris from shower and bath traps at least monthly to prevent blockages

-   Report any slow drainage promptly before it causes a back-up or water damage

 

Ventilation

-   Ensure adequate ventilation in bathrooms and wet rooms at all times to prevent excessive condensation

-   Run extractor fans during and after showering or bathing

-   Address any visible condensation or mould promptly to prevent damage to sealant, grout, and fixtures

 

General

-   Report any visible drips, leaks, or signs of water damage as soon as they appear --- early reporting prevents minor issues from becoming major ones

-   Do not allow third parties to carry out works on or adjacent to our completed installation without notifying us

How to Make a Claim

If you believe a defect has arisen from our workmanship, please follow these steps:

Step 1 Contact us in writing at info@priorityplumbingservices.co.uk as soon as you identify the issue.

Step 2 Include your name, address, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible.

Step 3 We will acknowledge your claim within 2 working days and arrange an inspection if required.

Step 4 Where the claim is valid, we will return to remedy the defect at no cost to you within a reasonable timeframe.

Claims must be made within the 24-month guarantee period from the date of job completion. The guarantee applies to the original installation address only and is non-transferable.

Our Priority Care Plan provides:

-   Scheduled annual maintenance visits including silicone inspection and replacement

-   Priority call-out for covered issues (leaks, drips, blockages)

-   Peace of mind cover, similar to a home care plan --- for a simple monthly fee

The care plan is designed to complement this guarantee and keep your installation in perfect condition year after year.
